What is EMDR?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or EMDR, typically uses an eight-phase process to help the brain safely reprocess trauma.

Through gentle eye movements or other bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps shift the emotions and beliefs connected to trauma. This approach allows the brain to return to its natural healing process, making difficult memories feel less intense and more manageable.

What is TF-CBT?

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or TF-CBT, is a trusted, evidence-based therapy that helps children and adolescents heal from trauma with the support of a non-offending parent or caregiver.
Through age-appropriate language, coping skills, and structured activities, TF-CBT helps young people manage tough emotions, build resilience, and regain a sense of safety. Caregivers learn practical tools as well, giving families the guidance and skills they need to move forward together.

Support Groups

Find healing and strength through community

CARE offers gender-specific support groups guided by a licensed therapist.
These groups provide a safe, confidential space for survivors of sexual trauma to share their experiences, connect with others, and receive support. Using trauma-informed approaches, the groups foster open discussion, emotional healing, and the development of healthy coping strategies.
